- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your display name and a unique user identifier. If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the information you choose to share.
- Game Data: We collect gameplay data including scores, levels, achievements, inventory items, and challenge participation to provide game functionality.
- Device Information: We may collect device type and operating system version for app optimization and crash reporting.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the game experience
- Display your scores on leaderboards
- Enable multiplayer features like the Challenge Board
- Process in-app purchases
- Improve and optimize the app
- Respond to support requests
Publicly Displayed Information
By using Tap Universe, you acknowledge that certain information may be displayed publicly:
- Leaderboards: Your display name, level, and scores may appear on in-game and website leaderboards visible to all players.
- Challenge Board: When you post a score to the Challenge Board, your display name and score are visible to other players who may attempt to beat it.
- Website Statistics: We display aggregated statistics on our website (tapuniverse.net), including total player counts, total XP earned across all players, active challenge counts, and top player display names with their levels. This information is publicly accessible.
- Sector Ownership: If you claim a sector, your display name may be visible to other players viewing that sector.
Your display name is the only identifying information shown publicly. We do not display email addresses, device identifiers, or other personal information.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Firebase, a Google Cloud service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google): For authentication, database, and analytics
- Apple: For Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases
These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
Children's Privacy
Tap Universe is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights

- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of analytics (where applicable)
To delete your account, go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account within the app.
